Course Introduction

Quran Studies has been designed to prepare students with Islamic knowledge, which encompasses the different aspects of Islamic law, the legislation of practice, the jurisprudential maxims and various other aspects. Additionally, this course will tackle contemporary issues with a great emphasis on Quran, Sunnah, Qiyas (analogy) and Ijma’ (consensus of scholars).

Learners will cover various Islamic principles including matters of Aqeedah and Fiqh with the aim to help understand Islamic laws and Sharia more clearly and accurately. Developing an Islamic perspective in terms of critical and analytical thinking and decision making skills among learners is a primary objective.

Curriculum

This is a short course of Six (6) months aimed at Young Learners seeking to gain Islamic knowledge and understand the principles of Islam. The following modules will be covered during the course:

ABQS 101 – (Usul At-Tafsir)
ABQS 102 – ( ) A Brief Commentary on the Glorious Quran
ABQS 103 – (Aqeedah) Islamic Creed

Why Al-Bayaan!

Compiles Islamic knowledge of Al-Qur’an and Hadiths including Islamic jurisprudence and practices with a great emphasis on Quran, Sunnah, Qiyas (analogy) and Ijma’ (consensus of scholars).
Develops an Islamic perspective in terms of critical and analytical thinking and decision making skills.
Teaches the fundamentals of Islam at a deep level and explains how to re-apply the fundamentals of Islam in the current modern world.
This course is designed for complete beginners. It therefore assumes no prior knowledge of Islam and its laws or principles.
Consists of courses on the pillars of Islam as well as dawah to help encapsulate and present the fundamentals.
Introduces students to Islamic doctrinal beliefs and their primary sources, as articulated and transmitted in seminal classical Islamic texts throughout the centuries .

How can I complete payment?

Payment can be made in cash at the Accounts Office, Main Campus or via EFT Bank Transfer, bKash and online payment (Debit/CreditnCards).

What is the payment process?

Payment must be completed at the beginning of each year.

Can I pay in instalments?

Payment can be made in two equal installments due within the first eight weeks at the beginning of the year’s programme.

Can I share the online access with others?

No. The online access is a priviliege for enrolled and paying students. It cannot be shared with others.

How are the students assessed?

Students will be assessed at the end of each course in a combination of written and verbal examinations that include testing of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills developed during the course of study.
